Biography
Dr. Sarah Silvest Guerrero joined the Bradley University Department of Nursing in August 2018 as an Assistant Professor in the DNP Program. She earned her ADN from Illinois Central College in 2007, BSN from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in 2010 and her MS in Nursing Leadership Management from the Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in 2013. In 2016, she earned a DNP with an emphasis in Health Systems Leadership from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Her Capstone project, Implementing a Standard Accountability Process and Its Effect on Daily Patient Rounding, is utilized at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center to help mitigate issues related to the patient experience.
Dr. Silvest Guerrero is a co-author of Design and Development of a Proactive Rapid Response System which focuses on early identification of patient deterioration. She has clinical experience in acute medical, patient experience leadership, nursing unit leadership, and performance improvement, including certification in Six Sigma methodology. In addition, she has three children and stays busy with their activities.
Dr. Silvest Guerrero holds a professional nursing licensure in Illinois and is BLS certified. She is an active member in the American Nurses Association.
