Do Not Sell My Personal Information and Cookies
Effective Date: January 1, 2020
Is Personal Information Sold?
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a new law, effective January 1, 2020, that gives California residents the right to opt-out of the sale of their Personal Information by a business subject to the law. The CCPA does not apply to non-profit or government institutions.
The CCPA defines “personal information” and “sale” very broadly to include data sharing that does not involve monetary payments and may not include names or email addresses. It is unclear whether third-party targeted advertising cookies involve the sale of Personal Information under the CCPA.
Pearson Online Learning Services (“POLS”), a division of Pearson Education, Inc., works with Bradley University to provide this site and to market and support select online educational programs. This site uses third-party targeted advertising cookies to provide relevant marketing messages about these educational programs.
Except to the extent that third-party targeted advertising cookies constitute a “sale” of personal information under applicable law, Pearson Online Learning Services does not sell any Personal Information collected through this site.
