Biography
Dr. Malik Raheem is from the great city of Chicago. In 2007, he completed the requirements for the Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Chicago State University. Although it was not required to complete the program, he submitted a master’s thesis: The Relationship between Demographic Variables, Internalized Negative Racial Stereotypes, and Attitudes toward Dating Preferences among African Americans.

In 2012, he completed all the requirements for his doctorate. His dissertation topic was Investigating the Relationship of Ethnic Identity Development and Multicultural Competence of Counselor Educators and Their Ability to Recognize Racial Microaggressions in Supervision.

Dr. Raheem taught from 2012 to 2019 at California State University, Fresno, and from 2019 to 2022 at Wilberforce University. Wilberforce is the first private HBCU in the country. He also taught on brief assignments at Seattle University and Grand Canyon University.
