Biography
Dr. Hoffman began her professional career serving as a juvenile probation officer. Working with kids led her to want to pursue a master’s in school counseling, which she did at Eastern Illinois University. While doing so, she also worked as an advocate for domestic violence victims. After completing her master’s degree, Dr. Hoffman worked as a school counselor for middle and high school students for 15 years. She obtained a doctoral degree from Oregon State University in counselor education and supervision.

Dr. Hoffman loves watching students evolve in their knowledge and understanding of this field. Helping them in their journey of growth to become counselors is the highlight of her job. She currently teaches courses in the areas of loss and grief counseling, crisis intervention counseling, professional school counseling in secondary schools, clinical supervision, and consultation.
