Biography
Dr. Rachel Borton joined the Bradley University Department of Nursing faculty in January 2010 as a part-time clinical instructor. In February 2011, she joined the faculty on a full-time basis as an assistant professor of nursing. In March 2015, she became the founding Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program Director. In June 2023, she became the Department of Nursing Chairperson.
Dr. Borton maintains her national advanced practice certification by working as an FNP at a local health department. Dr. Borton’s clinical expertise includes urgent care, family practice, and women’s health.
Dr. Borton has taught in the FNP theory and practicum courses, the DNP scholarly project courses, and the undergraduate health assessment and maternal-newborn courses.
Dr. Borton is a wife and proud mother of four children.
